What are the supported characters for SMS?

The message encoding determines the character limit and the type of characters supported.

Default alphabet 7-bit supports the following single characters:

In addition, the following double characters are supported:

Unicode 16-bit supports all 7-bit characters, plus other special characters such as Katakana, Cyrillic, Greek lowercase and emojis 💬.
