What are the supported characters for SMS?
The message encoding determines the character limit and the type of characters supported.
- Default alphabet 7-bit supports the following single characters:

- Unicode 16-bit supports all 7-bit characters, plus other special characters such as Katakana, Cyrillic, Greek lowercase and emojis 💬.
Avoid copying text from other programs into the platform, to ensure your SMS format is not modified.
