Here are several examples of how you might use custom subscriber fields:
- Collect additional information about your subscribers through sign-up or profile update forms, such as gender, age, coupon code, occupation, etc.
💡 All information you collect can be used within the platform to create custom segments and run personalized campaigns.
Create a custom subscriber field:
- From the Dashboard menu, go to:
Subscribers > Lists > [select a list] > Settings (top menu) > Subscriber Fields -
Click Add new field.
-
Enter a Name for the custom subscriber field.
-
From the Field Type drop-down, select one of the following:
-
Phone number
-
Email
-
Text
-

-
URL
If the Excel data does not match the selected field type, those subscribers will not be imported or updated. -

Values longer than the set limit will still be imported unchanged. -
Hidden Field: Choose whether this field should be available in your list’s forms.

Additional Notes
- You can also add a custom field when you Create a List or make a Quick Upload.
