# Why am I getting error 500 when trying to add a new user?

Error 500 occurs when attempting to add a new user to the Apifon platform under the following conditions:

1. The user **already exists** on the platform.
2. The user **previously existed** but has been deleted.

You cannot use the same email address to create a new account.
